New Honda Accord Review

Ever Since Honda launched the Accord in India back in 2011, barring the first the first model, the car has done well to keep the premium tab going for the Japanese marquee. The seventh generation that came a couple of years later and then the next one that came in 2008, have made it a segment leader. But no, its position is under threat with the advent of more competition and a certain new Skoda superb ruining its party.
The car is still doing well for its stiff price tag( it's brought in as a CBU from Thailand, and averages around 2,500 units sold in India every year) but in a bid to keep interest going, Hond ahas launched an updated version. It would like to call it new.

Which this Accord isn't. What it is, ias a car packed with many more features. So all of us who complained that the 2.4-litre wasn't speckled well for a car costing in excess of Rs20 lakh now have fewer things to grumble about. It might be tough to immediately point out what's new in the acr, but here's what you can look out for. The front Chrome grill now has a thivhker upper lip and two horizontal chrome slats to give it more prominence. It aslo extends all the way to the bumpers below. The front bumper aslo hs a more in-your-face look.
On the inside , the Accord remains elegant and spacious. to make it more upmarket, a sunroof is now standard accords the range. there's a wood insert on the front dash and doors. Thankfully, it looks real. Cruise control is also standard on the car now, but strangely they have left out stereo controls on the steering wheel.

On the road, the 2.4 Accord now has more teeth. Not in terms of power but in terms of technology bits like Vehicle Stability Assist, which includes Anti Lock braking systems, Electronic Brake Force Distribution and brake assist-all now standard on the car.
New Honda Accord starts at Rs.26 lakh ( ex-showroom price Mumbai)
